How to stop an African Grey from biting?

Well, its not MY African Grey, it's my cousins. It bites every time they take it out. I know one way to stop it, when it bites, do NOT make a sudden movement and just say no, put it in his or her cage and cover it and then take it out a few minutes later. Here's the problem though: It keeps on biting!

Is there any other way or should my cousin keep on doing this process and hope for the best?

Stop covering the cage! When it bites continue to pick up the bird. Also if it does that from inside the cage it may be territorial let it climb out and take it off the top. Also give a treat everytime you approach cage, and everytime you pick up bird until behavior dessists.
