How to remove cat fur from fleece blankets?

It gets everywhere, and doesn't come off in the wash, I could use 58 lint rollers, but that gets expensive! Is there a quick way to do it?

You can throw it in the drier for a while. This usually gets some of the fur out. For a fleece blanket I'd use a hand vacuum. I have an Oreck hand vac with a nozel on it that you attach the little pick up brushes too. I use the flat wide one, not the really wide one, the medium one. The hair catches in the little carpet strip, then I take it off and rub the hose over it to suck it down the tube.

My cat sleeps in the same spot on my bed every night. His fur was getting on it in just that one place. So I grab up the hand vac and suck it down this way.

One of the ways you can get your cat to sleep in a cat bed is to put something of yours in the bed. It can be an old shirt, or something else don't use any more. If you haven't worn it in awhile, wear it around, get your scent on it and then put it in the cat's bed. Since it will smell like you, it will provide comfort to them, instead of the laundry basket. It will also make it much easier to clean up, since all you have to do is shake most of the hair off, and throw it into the laundry. Just be sure that you wear it again, to put your smell back on it.

There are many really good cat bed designs, and you will want to find one that is nice and cozy. Putting the bed in a place out of the way, in a hidden part of the house is a good way to get them to sleep in it, because it is a place where they can be undisturbed, and many cats like to hide out when it comes to sleeping or napping. You want a bed with high walls, so your cats feel protected. Make sure that it is made from some plush material, like fleece, they will really enjoy this.
