hi i just made a second life and i found this free land place and i need to place furnture how do u do that?

You have to buy or create the furniture first.
There are lots of freebies available as well - you just have to go looking for it. Use search to look for "Free furniture", etc, and you'll find lots.

Once you have it in your inventory, just open your inventory window and drag them to the ground. Right click them and choose "edit" to move them around, resize them, etc.

If you want to make your own, right click the ground on the land, and choose create. From there, you shape the objects, texture them, join them, etc. Search out "Ivory Tower" and go there - it's a fantastic building tutorial site, with very basic building information, moving up to quite advanced techniques.

Keep in mind, the place you found is more likely a sandbox than a "free land" place. Which means you can't really live there. If auto-return is turned on, your objects will go back into your inventory (and be removed from the land) after a designated period of time. Sandboxes are designed as open areas where you can build things.
