Can I use dog nail polish on a cat?
I have seen a lot of nail polish made specially for dogs, but I have done some yahoo and google searches for cat nail polish, but can't seem to find any.
There is a website that sells dog nail polish for $2 and something, its pretty cheap, the site is www.petedge.com
I have also seen dog nailpolish at a local pet shop.
do you think it would be safe to use dog nail polish on my cats? I don't think it would get stuck in there fur or anything because the website petedge.com says their's is fast drying, and my cats are pretty calm. i was just wondering if i could use it on cats, because i really wouldnt want to use human nail polish on them, im sure it toxic to animals.

Cats' claws retract so nail polish really wouldn't be a good idea.
If you're really gung-ho about your cats having colored nails, check out vinyl nail caps (usually marketed under the name of SoftPaws or SoftClaws). They're just little caps that you glue over the cat's existing nail and they fall off every 4-6 weeks or so when the cat sheds the outer sheath of the nail. They're made to alleviate scratching problems because they dull the claw so it can't do damage but they make colored nail caps so you could use those. Just make sure that you don't let your cats outside while they're wearing the nail caps because they dull a cat's first line of defense.
