Training New Puppy on Pad?

My new puppy is going to be trained on a pad but hes doing okay with his peeing on it but does any one have any suggestions to help me train him. My other dog is also Pad-Trained and he was a very fast learning and is a pro =]. Thanks in advanced.

P.S. I have tried crate training so dont suggest it. also i was wondering if someone could tell me how to make him stop crying if no one is in the room or why he crys in his crate. wondering of the reason is because hes used to sleeping with one other dog and prefers to sleep in my bed.

Yes he misses his litter mates, let him sleep with your older dog. The older dog could help train him too. Crate training is the best way but you don't want to hear that. Good Luck!
