I would never give up my vest and long johns even in summer. What items of clothes would you never give up?

easy one to answer: I would never give up my black steel toed army boots and my long black velvet cape with the red pentacle on the left side (over my heart).
we are all creatures of habit and regularity. And some of us, the special ones ::::smile:::::: have an almost a rebelious uniform that tickles our mind when we wear it. I would love to say those are the only things I would not give up, but I am very fond also of my doc marten black leather boots, my red and black over the knee stockings, my long black skirts, my zombie t shirt (altered to show off my tattoos), my big black top hat. and my eeyore shaped purse. I am many things, witch, artist, goth. And I adore my clothes. It is like costumes for me to wear every day I go out into the universe.
May your vest and long johns live many years. And if they ever die, please make them into a throw pillow or part of a quilt. They serve you well and deserve honor.

When you have gone through a breakup and you want to get your ex back hold your heart close to your vest. I sometimes read article or hear advice that is contrary to what I believe. If you really want your ex back I do not believe in playing mind games. I don't think you should use other people to try to hurt or make you ex jealous. If you want to develop a long term relationship you do not need to have things in the closet that will show up later. I'm not saying that you shouldn't have friendships, even of the opposite sex; after all there has been a breakup. But the way to get back together is a one of honesty.

But having said all that there is one thing you do need to do, keep your heart close to your vest. You don't want to empower your ex. You don't want to spill your heart and your feelings about them, and especially your love for them. If you want your ex back let them know that you would like the relationship to work, that you are still interested in them, but some problems need to be resolved.

Keep in contact, but do not over do it. Don't call their cell phone or text them more than about once a week. The absence will work to your advantage. But when you run across an article from a magazine of some bit of information that you know they would like to be informed of send it to them. Include a note from you. Maybe say you haven't seen them for a while and miss them. Don't over do it though.

Every few days it's OK to let them know some of the things going on in your life. Carefully chose your words to let them know that they shouldn't feel threatened by what you are doing but that your life hasn't stopped because of the breakup. If you know of a social event that your ex might be at and it is someplace where you might normally be then go. Don't seek out your ex but don't avoid them either. Just be yourself. Anything that looks to be a put on by you will be a turn off to your ex.

If you know that there is a time when you'll see your ex it might be a good time to do a little make over of yourself. Don't do anything drastic or out of character, but maybe some new clothes or a haircut. Changing a little will send a message that your moving on with your life and will accept the breakup if you have to.

But keep your heart close. Don't present your self as needing them or that you can't go on without them. This will only develop pity from your ex and won't lead to them feeling like they want to get back together. When the time is right and you feel that enough time has passed you can talk to your ex about your relationship but keep your heart close to your vest.
