Cold, snow, ice, sleet, rain, freezing rain, all the things my big beautiful Blue Chow Chow didn’t like.  It really was rather comical to see her walk out on the porch, test the weather, and then turn around and go back in with the hopes that conditions would change before she had no choice but to venture out into the horrid weather to do her business. Why she thought if she waited long enough the weather would change, I don’t really know.  A few times of the out and in, until she just couldn’t wait anymore, would end up with her going out into her corner of the yard, shaking off each foot as she hobbled ran shook because she just couldn’t take the indignity of the snow or ice or rain on her paws.  She would do only enough to relieve the pressure, and then do the same dance back into the house and wait again until she just couldn’t wait anymore.  This lasted the entire winter and during spring rains.  Yes, she was a great big prissy baby!

Since Ming Lei has been gone, I found something that would have made her a very happy dog during the weather she hated – a dog litter box.  She would not have had to bear the torment of the yucky stuff on her paws and between her toes, and she wouldn’t have had to venture beyond the porch.  Believe me; I would have bought one in a second!  She never had any accidents in the house, she would have been just too humiliated, but the physical discomfort of waiting for the weather to change had to be enormous!

I highly recommend Porch Potty's dog litter box for everyone - the best product I ever found.
