Does the interior furniture have to match the exterior style of a house?

For example, if someone has a Craftsman style house, does the furniture inside have to be Craftsman style also to match? What other furniture styles can be used?

No they don't have to match. I have a 50's ranch. The intereior is french-courty, retro, shabby-chic, etc. I like to mix and match. I don't buy matching anything. I love to shop auctions, thrift stores, garage sales....

Flake Fish
Does "Green Flake" fish food go bad?

I bought a pretty large bag of "Green Flake" fish food which is supposedly top of the line. I have had it since November 06. My question does this type of food ever go bad and if so when? I don't want to be feeding my fish bad food.

It can get stale and loss it's vitamin content. If yours has been fairly well sealed up since you got it it should be ok to use. Try dividing it up into several smaller zip to bags and placing it in the freezer to help preserve it long term.

All Purpose
How do you tell the difference between bread flour and all purpose flour?

I have both in air tight containers, I normally keep them in separate places, but my sister was here and she put them back in the same place. How can I tell which is bread flour and which is all purpose?

You can't really. They're very nearly identical. The only difference is the amount of protein in the flour.

Bread flour is made from Winter Wheat which contains a greater amount of protein and less carbohydrates. Bread flour needs more protein in order to create the gluten that makes bread dough sticky and gooey and helps retain the gas bubbles produced by the yeast and makes for a lighter, chewey, fluffier bread.

Personally, I use AP (All Purpose) flour for everything (including breads) except cakes. Cakes require a lower protein cake-flour, which helps to create the light and not-chewey texture we want from a cake. Protein, and therefore gluten, is bad for cakes because you don't want to be "chewing" a cake...just simply biting into it should be enough.

Copywriting has been called the single most important skill you need for Internet Marketing. Talk to any Online Gurus, Famous Names and Internet Millionaires, and that's what they'll tell you.

Example 1: A few years ago, I joined to an organization that offered a showcase for members to present themselves. The catch was, you had to send in an application, describing what you'd talk about and why you should be one of the three featured speakers.

I'd never written a proposal like this one, but I figured I'd just use my copywriting mindset to promote value, even though I was less experienced than my competitors. It worked.

You can also use your copywriting mindset if you're nominated for awards. You're selling yourself, right?

Example 2:  When you're invited to be a radio or teleseminar guest, you will need to prepare a list of questions, a summary of your topic and a brief biography ("bio").

Sounds simple, doesn't it? In fact, each element calls for a copywriting mindset. Your questions need to be as compelling as headlines. Your bio needs to showcase your expertise - without a hint of boasting. Your interviewer needs to be sure you won't sound like you're using her show to promote used cars.

Example 3: When you create an information product (or propose a book to an offline publisher), your title and chapter headings need to reach your target market in the same way your home page copy invites visitors to stick around and maybe buy on their very first visit. Every chapter needs hooks - elements of text that grab the reader and won't let go.

So...here's a challenge for you. Are you working on a project today: an ebook, speaking bio or services description? Write five captivating headlines and ten beefy bullets. Notice how your secret weapon changes what your readers see.

I am trying to find a cat litter "catcher" that is plastic with holes in the top?

I was at someone's house recently and noticed they had a "litter catcher" type object in front of their litter box. The contraption was a plastic box with small holes that caught litter from the cat either playing in their litter or the extra stuff that flies out when they get out of the litter box. I was wondering if anyone had seen these before and if they knew where to get them? It was small, about the width of the litter box entry and maybe a foot deep and only about 1/2 an inch thick, or smaller. My cat is very messy and the small mat I have doesn't do much good nor do I want a top entry litter box. I tried to find what this person had for their cat through google and it's not working out so well. I would ask them, but I don't personally know them or have any contact info.

I got a big cardboard box and put my litter tray in that. It was free. And when it gets dirty I get another one, and recycle the old one.

Most people go up to cats and go too forward too them, in order to become a cat's friend you've got to either lure it to you by just lazily making yourself exposed (sitting down on the ground or low to the ground in an accessible place to the cat) and letting the cat come close to you. Gradually when a cat will see you're not a threat it'll proceed quickly wanting only love, pets, and treats.

Another problem may be smell. You may not smell bad to humans but cats have hyper-sensitive noses sometimes they pick up scents on people that most other animals can't pick up with their noses. A good way to change that is to mask your smell (perfume or more deoderant) or to take a shower more throughrolly to try and stop the smell.

Smell may not be the problem. Sometimes you may seem to lunge at a cat and the first impressions take. If you scared the cat when you first met it by trying to either pick it up or pet it too quickly it may see you as someone who wants to hurt it.

Ways to get it to come to you is to offer it kitty toys, treats, or something long with a tassle at the end. Cats can't avoid tassles. If you get something about a foot or two away with a tassle and you shake it the cat will come to you like you were tugging it on a leash.

Make sure you are nice to it, let it come to you rather then the other way around, don't lean forward or bend down to touch it, offer friendliness treats or toys as a lure to try and get it to come to you, try and see if it may be your odor (it's rare that thats the cause but it can be), and let the cat come to you. Once it comes to you show it you only want to love it. Pet it GENTLEY always pet from the head to the tail with only your palm and don't brush up from the tail to the head and lift up the fur (they hate that). Also if you're feeding it catfood at your house try and make sure the cat sees YOU putting the food there, a cat will normally love the hand that feeds them.

A way of telling your cat has become more friendly to you:

A STRAY cat will sometimes kill small rodents, brids, or creatures and leave them at your doorstep as a kind of "thanks", my stray did that for a while.

A cat will also come up to you gradually and "ask" (rubbing up at you) to be rubbed and petted.

They will be more lazy around you being comfortable to leave their belly or paws exposed, most cats who are uneasy or unsettlesd will never sleep on their side or back and will curl up to cover any parts of their body not covered by hair as if the hair was a sheild. Make sure to see these signals from cats.

**One last tip, make sure you always wear a smile, cats can sense when a human is apprehensive or nervous, those vibes scare cats the most and that may also be making the cat avoid you***

As a general rule cats do not pant, as they sweat through their paws. Having had cats most of my life I have never seen one of our cats pant.

It is said that cats pant when they are ill or when they are stressed out. Once in awhile, a cat will play hard and pant from the exertion, as will mother cats after giving birth.

Heat stroke is another cause for a cat to pant; though cats in general are smart enough not to put themselves into a position to get heatstroke, unless they are locked in a place (like a car) where they cannot get out.

Should you feel that your cat is suffering from heatstroke the best thing to do is wrap it in a cool damp towel and get it to the vet at once. Heatstroke can be fatal and quick. If you cannot get to the vet at once, cool the cat down with water from a hose. Cool water and not ice cold water is to be used.

Cats usually breathe nice quiet breaths, at an even keel, panting causes rapid breathing, usually the mouth is open, the breaths are shallow as very little air is being exchanged deep inside the cat's lungs.

What are some of the other things that can cause panting?

These are just a few things that will cause a cat to pant and will require attention by your vet.

If you cat is panting excessively do not hesitate to make that phone call to your vet.

Can I use a powerhead filter meant for a 30 gallon tank for my 15 gallon aquarium?

My aquarium is 15 gallon. I want to install a powerful filter, but is a powerhead filter that pumps 290gph too powerful? Will it damage the tank or harm the fish? Thank you for your input.

Yes it will be fine, the current will be good for the fishes gills. I wouldn't go any more than that though.

Plesiotrygon iwamae is a freshwater stingray, commonly known as the Antenna Ray, they are the only member of the genus Pleisotrygon. They belong to the family Potamotrygonidae and to the class Elasmobranchii, which is what sharks belong to. They get to about 22 inches in length, this does not include the tail. Their distributionis the upper to lower Amazon River basin, from Ecuador to Belém, Brazil, in the Napo, Solimões, Amazonas and Pará rivers.

Antenna rays have smaller mouths than most other rays. Because of this, they feed on black worms, or tubifex worms. When young (under 10 inches) this species has trouble eating even the smallest night crawlers so blood worms would be better. Larger specimens will eat earth worms, chopped squid or even small feeder fish. The tail of the Antenna ray is really delicate and a newly imported specimen with a damaged tail is more likely to die. If its a small injury towards the end of the tail there are good chances it will heal but if it's near the base of the tail, it rarely heals and eventually falls off; once this happens, the ray will die. The cause of the death will probably be due to a bacterial infection entering the blood stream through the broken tail.

Such injuries usually happen in transit but in the aquarium are also likely to happen. Intake tubes or powerheads are often the cause but netting the fish is also dangerous for them, since the tail can get stuck in the net.

This group is best kept in a tank without ornamentation, bulky equipment or other fish. Gravel substrates are ok for this species but young ones should be kept in bare-bottom tanks to make feeding easier.

There is a type of Antenna Ray called a "Black Tailed Antenna Ray". This type seems to be less sensitive to tail injuries than the common antenna ray. This is the only species of Freshwater Stingray that commonly rests with its disc margin elevated off the substrate when in good health. (Do not confuse with "death curl").

The reason for them to hold their disc in such ways is not known.

The Black Tailed Antenna Ray is a dwarf stingray and even when adult has trouble eating anything larger than black worms, blood worms or tubifex. If you feed live worms, before feeding stir the substrate a little bit to make sure any survivor worms are eaten before they colonize your tank.
