Hep how do I set up an external filter in my aquarium?
I have just been given a Fluvel 204 external filter from a friend but he has lost the instructions how far apart do I have to put the inlet and out let pipes as he can't remember and are they easy to use .
If you were so inclined, you could put them right next to each other. Ideally, you would put in input at one end of the tank with the output at the other. This will create the best water circulation, which carries heat, oxygen, and nutrients to, and away from, fish, plants, and necessary bacteria. By the way, Fluval canisters are great!
