Why do many people moan when people dont get their pets fixed?

So many people moan on YA! about getting ya cat or dog fixed because of the increase of unwanted pets in the RSPCA shelters etc... then why dont they preach that women or men in 3rd world countries should be fixed due to poverty, HIV, malnutrition and the life expectancy of a child being extemely young?

Because animals depend on us to make the right decisions for them. What are some good breeds of pet birds?

I am going to get a bird, I want one the isn't to noisy, or at least can be quieted. I love lorikeets is there any birds for me. ( not toooo big )

There are many species of parrot out there that make great pets.
It depends on what you want from your pet, how much time you are prepared to spend with it, etc.
I always recommend handreared birds for people that want a parrot that is going to be easily tamed and interactive with you from the first day.
Budgies are fairly basic ones, as are Bourke parrots. They are some of the quieter parrots, and can be quite interactive without needing as much interaction as some of the larger parrots.
If you are keeping budgies and not wanting to play with them every day it is better to have a pair- they are very social birds and your pet will be so much happier and healthier with a friend.
Lovebirds are not the best choice- they can be much noisier than the larger parrots, and its hard to find one that makes a good pet. They like to be kept with a mate, as well.
Cockatiels are a popular small parrot, they make excellent handreared pets, put you do need to play with them every day to keep them happy and friendly. They can make a bit of noise when they want to, though. Males probably make more noise than females- but they are also better talkers.
Green Cheeked Conures and Quakers are great for the budding parrot enthusiast. They are excellent pets, but do need a few hours of attention each day. Conures are quite cuddly for parrots, and very cheeky, Quakers are a bit more refined... but they are a bit louder! Both species can talk- Quakers are much better talkers.
Lorikeets are pretty parrots- but not the best for a beginner. They have a very specialised diet- as they eat nectar, and they can be hard to clean up after because they poo nectar as well- but they can make excellent pets and good talkers. Hope this helped.

A lab can be a very gentle and calm companion, but if you look at his history the lab was bred as a retrieving dog. He likes to have work and purpose, and physical exercise is important for his mental health. A lab is a great dog to take into the woods. English Setter

The English Setter was bred as a hunting dog, and loves to run and retrieve. He is patient and intelligent, making him a good choice for families with older children as well. Do I need to remove male parakeet from cage before eggs hatch?

I apparently have a couple of parakeets in love. There are 3 eggs the female is sitting on. I added grass to the cage per "Pet Smart" employee hoping she would make a nest to no avail, she apparently doesn't mind just sitting on them at the bottom of the cage. I worry about the chicks should the eggs hatch? Will the be okay on the bottom of the cage??? Do I need to remove the male from the cage? Will he bother/kill the chicks?

Both male and female parakeets attend to the young. If the female is laying on eggs already in the cage, do not disturb her. I breed and sell several types of small birds. I have had a pair of cocktails raise young on the carpet behind a bookcase before. Let the birds raise this brood, then next time, you can put in a parakeet nest box. The nest box is rounded on the inside at the bottom. There is no need to provide anything else. Do make sure to provide lots of fruits and veggies. I know you are curious but try not to disturb the parents. When the first egg hatches, the tiny chick will make a high pitched noise that you can hear. From then on, every time the chick is hungry, it makes that noise. Each chick will make a noise when hungry. The eggs hatch about every 3 days. The older chicks keep the younger chicks warm.
