Question about dog home alone in pet carrier.?
My friend is getting a Westie (small) and it will be alone the whole day from 11am-2pm everyday. Westies chew furniture, so she will leave it in a pet carrier the whole time. Is this all right? What are some better options?
That will be perfect! Since the dog is only going to be alone for a few hours, then it will be fine as long as it gets to use the restroom right before crating, and then right after.
Other options include keeping the dog in a small puppy-proof room with a few toys, or enrolling him in doggy day care. It is best to keep the puppy in a crate until he is house trained, though, as letting him romp free in a small room can encourage "accidents" until he learns to go outside.

Pitza and I finally traveled by Jet Airways, and I bless them every single day till date. I had arrived at the airport with a carrier large enough for a tiger to travel in.
