Traveling with two hamsters?

So here's the deal.
I'm travelling 6 hours by bus and I have to take two syrian hamsters with me. The thing is, you're not allowed to have any pets on the bus and I'm bringing several bags of luggage. I have a CritterTrail Mini 2 cage I use as a carrier for my one hamster and I put it in a tote, leaving the zipper open a little. As for where I can put the other hamster, I have the cardboard carrying box I brought him home in and his cage, which is a tote, but he'd have to be put under the bus, which I don't feel safe with at all.

What can I do with the other hamster to make travelling okay for him, but also not make him noticeable?
I'd be really scared putting them together.
One syrian is a bit bigger than the other and he might hurt him and when I move I'm not coming back.
I'm carrying a big suitcase, lap top case, back pack, small suitcase, tote, purse, and bag with hamster. I can't get another tote and cage... too much.

Did you consider making a divider? You can duct-tape some mesh wire in the center of the carrier and stop any fights from breaking out. That's how they recommend introducing a mating pair of Syrians, I bet it would be safe enough for travel.

If that doesn't work, you could get drastic. Get a small container and stab a million holes in it. Put it on top the smaller hamster to trap it there. It's not necessarily nice, but it's better then letting them die.

Carrier Tote

Should I buy a new carseat now?

My daughter is 6 months old and seems cramped in her infant carrier carseat. She can sit up on her own now, so can ride in the front of shopping carts. Would this be a good time to purchase a convertable carseat? I still do use the carrier occasionally when she is sleeping, so I'm not sure if she's too young yet. What do you think? What age did you stop using the carrier type seat. I do have a sling that she likes. So, I was considering just using that when she's sleey instead of lugging the big heavy carrier around. She weighs 17 pounds and is about 27 inches long. I am only 5' tall and weigh about 95lbs. So, the carrier is getting much harder for me to tote around.
What brand of convertable seat would you recommend?

Convertible carseats can be used from birth to be honest so I don't know why some people are saying twenty pounds. Twenty pounds is usually just the max that a infant carrier will go to before you are recommended to switch them over.

I would suggest the Britax Marathon, it goes rear facing from 5-33 lbs and forward facing from 1 year old and 20 to 65 lbs.

I own two marathons and they are easy to install and one of the highest rated carseats out there, they also come in really pretty fabrics.

if not the marathon then I would also suggest a roundabout , which can accomodate a child up to 40 lbs and has the same weight limits rear facing (5-33 lbs)
