submersible hearter (precision)...i need help?

I know this might sound dumb but I just want to know. I received today this heater precision submersible heater. I just want to know if it works like the other submersible heater. See this picture http://www.aqua-fish.net/imgs/articles/vertical-aquarium-heater.jpg. I was reading the instructions and it says..."place heater vertically in aquarium" If i put all the way horizontally is okay? The heater is Dual temp 5-20 precision submersible heater

I have all my heaters in horizental positions and never had any problems

I hink the only time you would put the vertically would be when it's longer then the tank is high

You can't compare a pool filter with the pond filters. This machine performs much harder than that of the pool filters. The Koi pond should always be a happy place for your Koi and it must be conducive for their good health. The goal is to make it clean and prevent blurry water.

One of the best things that you can buy for your elegant pond is the Koi filter. Ponds are mainly made with the element water and to make it securely clean you need to have a good helper to maintain a desirable haven for your Koi.

When the pond water accumulates dirt and is left untreated this will eventually turn into a chemical called ammonia. Ammonia is toxic for the fish, when this gets into their gills the ammonia is transferred into their system damaging the organs leading to deaths of your fishes. You may suspect ammonia toxicity in your pond when the water is dirty, turns green, stinky and there are a lot of dead insects on it. The poor Koi who is experiencing ammonia toxicity will swim sluggishly and is often seen at the surface as if gasping for air.

Koi filters have two types and they are:-

1. The Mechanical Filters and

2. Biological Filters.

The Mechanical filters clean your pond by sucking out the pollutants and the dirt or debris from the water. With the aid of the filter pads, beads or sand the dirt and other debris or foreign bodies are filtered out and trapped within a chamber making it easy for the Koi pond owner to remove this dirt out of the waters.

The pump is used to suck out water into the filters. The pump's capacity for this is very vital for the maintenance of a clean pond. It is advisable that the pump should be able to hold randomly of at least a 3rd of the pond's entire capacity. With this, the desirable cleanliness is now obtained.
