I just got a jebo 180 protein skimmer from eBay and it is putting too much air bubbles in my tank, any help?
My skimmer is putting alot of very fine (small) air bubbles in my tank, it looks very bad and i understand that it can cause the fishs' boyency to be thrown off. I have tried for hours to try to fine adjust it but with no prevail. With very little air flowing the water flows to fast and flows over the return. With enough air to stop the overflow from happening, the air then starts to be way to much in the tank.
This is completely normal for a new protein skimmer to do. Wait until an organic film gets built up on the acrylic and it should stop. Also don't worry about your fish with the bubbles unless they are seahorses.
