Yellow Tang- The yellow tang is great at eating hair algae in saltwater aquariums.It has a fast metabolism and will constantly graze on the algae all day. It also adds alot of movement and color to your tank. Just remember that these fish do best when kept singly and will usually fight if more then one is in the tank.
Lawn Mower Blenny- The lawn mower blenny is another marine fish that will eat the hair algae in your tank. It will also graze all day and is best kept singly except in large tanks. It is a hardy, active and inexpensive marine aquarium fish. It will usually stay on and in the rock work giving you movement directly on your reef.
Pygmy Angel Fish- Pygmy angels like the coral beauty and flame angel do a great job of picking small bits of algae off the live rock work. These fish are truly stunning and beautiful but they are also expensive and need good to have water quality to survive. They are best kept by themselves and will often fight with each other or similar fish in smaller tanks.
